they could put me on a stand.

put my hand on a bible.

make me swear to tell the truth.

and when they ask me if i still love you,

i’ll say no.

i’ll perjure myself before i admit that i still want you.

they’ll send me away before i cave and say i’m still yours.

forever and always,

i'll lie.
